Admission Pre-Requistes

Applicants to the Biomedical Physics graduate program should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering related field.  This would include degrees in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics or engineering or any of their subspecialties (e.g. molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, computer science, biomedical engineering, nuclear engineering, etc.).

Because of the interdisciplinary nature of our program, we are looking for applicants who are interested in crossing the traditional boundaries between disciplines to develop new methods and scientific knowledge that are related to the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Our specialties include: Medical Imaging, Molecular Imaging, Radiation Therapy Physics and Molecular and Cellular Oncology.  As can be seen from other descriptions on this website, each specialty involves varying aspects of biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and engineering.  Therefore, we do encourage applications from students with a wide variety of backgrounds.
